The Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology in Liptovský Mikuláš is the most modern museum in Slovakia, taking visitors on a fascinating journey through nature — from underground caves to high mountain peaks.
Interactive exhibits allow visitors to peek into a bear’s den or try crawling through a cave. The displays are enhanced with light and sound effects that intensify the experience. The speleological exhibition, featuring beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, offers a comprehensive look at caves and the art of caving.
Above the museum building stands an observation tower that provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the High and Low Tatras, the Great Fatra mountains, as well as the town of Liptovský Mikuláš and its surroundings.
