JASNÁ Nízke Tatry
JASNÁ Low Tatras is the largest ski resort in Slovakia, making it an ideal destination for winter sports enthusiasts. On both the northern and southern slopes of Mt. Chopok, you’ll find 45 km of ski runs of varying difficulty levels — perfect for beginners, advanced skiers, families with children, and even world-class competitions. The resort also features freeride zones and a snow park. There are 30 lifts and cable cars with a total transport capacity of over 30,000 people per hour. A modern network of lifts, including a 15-person gondola, takes you comfortably to the top of Chopok.
Skiing on the southern side of Chopok has gained a new dimension thanks to the new gondola lift connecting Krupová – Kosodrevina (1,084 m – 1,488 m above sea level), offering convenient access to the slopes. This lift connects seamlessly to the existing cable car from Kosodrevina all the way to the summit of Chopok.
From Liptovské Chaty to Demänovská Valley, it’s approximately 21.9 km, which takes about 27 minutes by car.
Závažná Poruba Opalisko
The Opalisko Ski Resort is set in the picturesque landscape of Liptov, in the Low Tatras, directly above the village of Závažná Poruba, on the slopes of Mount Poludnica (1,548 m a.s.l.). The resort is located just 5 km from the center of Liptovský Mikuláš, with an altitude ranging from 640 m to 1,030 m a.s.l.
The resort offers five ski slopes with artificial snowmaking, four ski lifts, and a chairlift, ensuring comfort and minimal waiting times. There is a special area for children, a sledding track, and a natural ice rink. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy 30 km of illuminated trails. The resort also offers night skiing and is suitable not only for experienced skiers, but also for beginners and families with children.
Liptovské Chaty are located approximately 12.9 km from Závažná Poruba, which is about a 19-minute drive.
Liptovský Ján – Javorovica
Liptovský Ján, located just 7 km from Liptovský Mikuláš, offers skiing on the northern slopes of the Low Tatras. The ski runs are equipped with an artificial snowmaking system. This is a family-friendly ski resort, featuring both a ski school and a ski kindergarten. It is ideal for complete beginners, yet also satisfying for more experienced skiers. In 2000, a high-capacity Doppelmayr lift was added to the existing three POMA lifts, and during the 2001/2002 season, a new 900-meter ski slope for advanced skiers was opened. The resort also offers night skiing.

FUN PARK Žiarce
Fun Park Žiarce is located in the village of Pavčina Lehota, at the foot of Demänovská Valley. The resort features a ski school and kindergarten for children, a ski equipment rental, night skiing, a snow park, and free parking directly at the lift. Located just 5 km from Liptovský Mikuláš, this resort offers excellent skiing conditions in Liptov at affordable prices, including family-friendly ski passes.
The distance from Liptovské Chaty to Žiarce, Pavčina Lehota, is approximately 15 km, which takes about 20 minutes by car.
Malinô Brdo
Malinô Brdo Ski Resort is an ideal destination for a winter holiday in Slovakia, located in Lower Liptov on the slopes of the Great Fatra mountains. The resort offers 12 km of ski runs served by an 8-person gondola, a 4-chair lift, and two ski lifts, including lifts for children and beginners. Operating hours are daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The slopes feature a snowboard park, free parking, a free ski bus, ski service, and a ski school. The surrounding area of Malinô Brdo also provides excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing, hiking, and ski touring.
Liptovské Chaty are approximately 28 km from Malinô Brdo in Ružomberok, which is about a 33-minute drive.
