An active holiday continues with the exploration of one of the most beautiful valleys in Slovakia – the Prosiecka Valley, which is part of a national nature reserve. The hiking trail with an educational path starts in the village of Prosiek and leads through the Prosiecka Valley to the village of Veľké Borové and further into the Kvačianska Valley.
This hiking circuit can be completed by following the yellow trail markers, either from the Kvačianska Valley parking area or via Kvačany – Dlhá lúka, and then returning back to Prosiek. The entire hike takes approximately 7 hours, and the valley is considered one of the most beautiful in Slovakia.
At the Vidová junction, don’t miss the view of the Červené piesky waterfall, located about 10 minutes away. The waterfall is 15 meters high and offers a stunning natural scene.
